Back in 2020 I switched career paths from the field of electronic engineering into the web development space. Fast forward to today and I'm passionate about delivering top class interactive UI/UX. Currently I'm employed as a full stack developer at a company in the tech blogging space called Hashnode .
Going back further, I was born in Wales 🏴, UK, and had spent most of my time there up until the last few years. Today I am based in Ireland 🇮🇪. When I'm not writing code you may find me up a mountain, playing guitar and listening to music, or in the kitchen whipping up a feast.

I spent 4 years earning a masters degree in Electronic Enginering at Bangor University, Wales. It was essential in teaching me all about effective teamwork, communication, delegation and soft skills I apply to this day.
During the end of my time at university I realised my passion for Electronic Engineering wasn't there. I'm not the kind of person to persue something I don't enjoy. With that in mind, after graduating I spent 2 years working at a local buisness to save up funds that would allow me to spend a prolonged period of time travelling the world.
I spent around 18 months living and working around New Zealand and planned to travel further after those 2 years were up. Unfortunately some big event happened in early 2020 and my onward travel plans had to be scrapped.
All of a sudden I had all this free time for something so I spent it changing career paths into web development through self study. Fortunately I was in a position to put all my time into learning and picked up skills in several fontend and backend technologies with a focus on JavaScript.
With some web dev skills under my belt I started blogging to share the knowledge I had gained. Soon after I had created a blog on Hashnode sharing both technical and non-technical topics and finished as a top 50 writer on the platform several months running. Today my blog has received more than 110,000 visitors!
Developing, maintaining, and testing of large codebases. Working closely with the design team to ship interactive features with slick UI/UX for the frontend. Crafting and developing issues. Working within our AWS infrastructre and contributing to building out our public and internal GraphQL API's.
